So, hum, yeah. I'm tired of having no fluency on the japanese language.
I want to put sentences on my SRS. I will follow your advices of Srsing only things I'm interested in. I used to SRS only sentences from Genki and as I already knew 80% of them fluently, well, it was boring. I'll start looking up for new sentences on other places such as Kotaku.jp, CosCom (news and weather related stuff), etc, etc.
Do you know of any japanese websites related to the Nintendo DS, PSP, Videogames in General, other than Kotaku, of course?
I usually give up from reading japanese websites because most of the times I don't know the grammar. It's quite frustrating. That's probably one of the few things that keeps me away from learning japanese with more ease.
I'm now doing some research on this matter on RevTk forums, so hopefully tomorrow I'll have a clearer idea on this.
By the way, I actually ended up buying a 16Gb pendrive, for 30€. I already erased the stuff from my laptop (kinda limited too) and put them there.
Btw2, aren't there any websites that allow people to see ドラマ with japanese subtitles, but without having to donwload the episode/series? Something like youtube, but with subs.
Mandarin Chinese Major, Japanese Minor. Love them both. This blog will make a report on my language learning progress. I'll post stuff like tests, pics, reports, and other stuff.

What I am still to offer to myself:
-8GB PenDrive (to save all Japanese and Chinese learning stuff, only) (around 20€)
-R4i (around 30€)
-Powerball (maybe 25€?)
-I had something else I wanted to buy...just can't remember what...
What I still have to receive:
-Android Phone (for Anki and dictionary purposes; and to other stuff obviously, but I just want to buy it so that I can have Anki anywhere). Still don't know which smartphone though...

2009 reflections
Well, I finished 2008 greatly. I had started using Genki, was more confident than I ever was and my japanese was skyrocketing, till The beggining of 2009 (I guess till March...). I stopped for a few weeks, dunno why, and when I "came" back I had forgotten most kanji. My confidence was over. After that, knowing that all that kanji hours I had spent, were nothing. I mean, I could read everything, but I couldn't write, I started looking for new methods, new tools etc. I had read some stuff about a book that would make anyone be able to write hundreds of kanji really quickly, but had never understood how.
It was James W. Heisig's Remembering the Kanji, has you have already guessed.
I asked in RevTK's forum how to use it, it it was worth it, if it'd make me be able to write all those characters. But yet I wouldn't buy, I never quite understood it. Then I decided to give it a try, in the trial PDF. With that I learned only a few really, but I liked. Nevertheless, I still hadn't understood the method! I bought the book. During the first 500 or so I wasn't using the book correctly. Then, I almost gave up, why? Because I was learning new Kanji, but could only review i on RevTK, and my internet connection was very, very limited, so I only reviewed them like once a week. Than I downloaded Anki.
It was awesome, and I could learn new kanji more quickly. And I finally started using RevTK's users's stories. They are/were awesome!
Then I started doing like 30/35/40 a day and it was just a matter of days/weeks till I was finished.
So, in 2009 I can only focus RTK. I finished it. I almost finished Genki and stuff, but at a realy slow pace. Now in 2010 I REALLY intend to finish both Genkis. Preferably in a fast pace. And then move on to IAIJ and ドラマを見る. As for ドラマ, I can't download them, but I know a site that has them, with subs, but I'll just cover them with something.
There's a quote from a member of RevTK's forum, that really, really inspired me, since my path is pretty much the same. bokuzukuri says:

"I passed level 1 after three long years.
kanji/vocab: 98/100
listening: 97/100
reading/grammar: 183/200 (92%)
total: 378/400 (95%)
genki 1+2 and an integrated approach, kanzen master 1+2, rtk1+2, a pocket pc loaded with stackz and jlpt lists and watching a lot of japanese tv shows (bittorrent) worked for me. imo, japanese is a really simple language and easy to learn."
And, this quote, as also inspired me a lot:
"Books used for grammar during my three years of learning Japanese:
Genki 1-2
An Integrated Approach to Intermediate Japanese
Kanzen Master 2-1kyuu
No problems so far!
BTW, after having completed Genki one should watch Japanese variety shows. A lot. The level is usually lower than your average J-Drama, and the only subtitles you'll find are the integrated, colorful ones (which help a lot.)"

Merry Christmas!
圣诞节快乐!
メリクリスマス!
Feliz Natal!
So...it's christmas time!
I still don't know what I'll get. I already got 100€ from my grandmother, my mother will buy me the smartphone when it comes out (dunno when), my dad bought me something cultural, related to China, I bet. Tomorrow I have no clue on what I'll get.
Oh my, on vacations and still haven't studied much. Only a bit really. After tomorrow, I hope. It's weird, but at home I seem not to be able to study. In Braga that does not happen. Wonder why :P

2010 Aims and Objectives
As far as Chinese is concerned:
-> To get better at pronouciation;
-> Be able to write loads of new characters, know loads of new vocabulary;
-> Use Anki a lot more (I have it, but don't use it, any advices would be awesome);
-> Listen to a lot more chinese music;
-> Surround myself in a Chinese/Japanese environment;
-> See Chinese TV (already do it, just to listen to the sounds);
-> Finish "Integrated Chinese 1.1 & 1.2. (what's weird is that both books say they're part 1/1);
-> Play videogames in Chinese;
-> Be one of the 2 best students of my class and get a scholarship to go to China in Summer to a Chinese course.
Now, as far as Japanese is concerned
-> Get to know more vocabulary;
-> Get to speak faster;
-> Finish Genki 1 and Genki 2;
-> Start "An integrated Approach to Intermediate Japanese";
-> Use Anki more;
-> Starting to read and watch the news;
-> Listen to new music, I've been listening to the same for over a year, I'm tired of it.
-> Play videogames in Japanese.
I will make a post on my 2009 past goals too.

On vacations...!
Yup, I'm officially on winter vacations, actually since past Friday afternoon :D
That doesn't mean I will not study, lol, I will have 2 major tests, a chinese and a japanese one, with all the things we've learned so far.
Yesterday I studied japanese a lille using Genki, today I still haven't studied a thing, but I might.
Mentat, actually, knowing that there's someone that knows as much as me is actually motivating, the past week I knocked everyone in the chinese class, it was awesome, I was the one who answered everything.

どうしたんですか。
I'm sorry for not posting the pics yet, it's due to my lack of motivation towards learning japanese. I had said this before, but I think I like a lot more to study chinese, but I sure don't want to stop with japanese. I want to be the best in both. And so far, I seem to be at least in the top 2 and our grades are pretty much even in both subjects.
Cool, while I'm writing this my motivation is getting bigger.
How can I motivate myself again? Why does this happen? Now I'll have 2 weeks of vacations, I'll review Genki 1 and will try to finish lesson 1, I sould have done this a lot time ago, bu this time I should already had finished An Integrated Approach to Intermediate japanese lol.
Sentence mining is too much work just to think that I have to find sentences and copy/paste/type them makes me sick. Yeah, I like to stick with books, I think they work best for me.
During this week, I think I've gained a lot of knowledge of chinese. I downloaded and printed a book, Integrated Chinese, I'm now on lesson 4 and it was so easy. I already knew almost everything of that grammar/vocabulary, but I actually had the opportunity to practice it (hurray, since my teachers don't give me any exercises) and understand better. Also, since my mais teachers aren't here that my in-class posture as changed quite a bit, I've been answering a lot more, and almost everytime I'm correct. My reading skills are getting better, I can read up to my course's book lesson 14, quite fast (I'm in the 17th).
Today in the writing class, the substitute teacher (a portuguese) got surprised with my character and tones knowlegde. I also corrected her characters like twice. lol.
